This CD is a bit of a mixed bag. Drummer Don Lamond's no-name big band is featured on three numbers from 1977 and five from 1982, including a Woody Herman medley ("Early Autumn/Four Brothers/Apple Honey") and some newer material. The ten remaining songs are from 1981 and have Lamond in a quartet with trumpeter Ben Clement, pianist Don Scalleta and bassist Ron Gilotti.
