During that period there were twenty annual meetings of the Convention with the intervening meetings of the Committee during each year. All the meetings were held in Edin burgh, and the Lord Provost of the City was appointed Preses of the Convention for the year. There were six Lord Provosts, viz George Drummond, George Lind, James Stuart, Gilbert Laurie, John Dalrymple, and James Stodart.
