useful addition to wilderness medicine
As one who does a fair amount of volunteer teaching in wilderness medicine topics, I continue to consider the Auerbach tome, "Wilderness and Environmental Medicine" the final authority.
That said, many are now involved in organized group experiences in remote and challenging places. "Expedition and Wilderness Medicine" focuses on this aspect with a wealth of information and adviced based on wide experience. Those involved with groups, especially leadership, will gain great insites to make such efforts safer and more enjoyable.

A Dense compendium of a lot of medical experience. A great source, as long as you don't have to carry it in your backpack.
