Missin' Linx like to take things slowly. After releasing their first single, "MIA," in 1998, the group did exactly that and wasn't heard from for two years. In 2000, they returned from being missing in action with the release of their EP Exhibit A. The six-song compilation highlights the skills of the group's leader, Al Tariq, formerly known as Fashion from the Beatnuts. Current Beatnut Juju even stops by to help out on the album, and he isn't the only one. Missin' Linx uses a host of producers working on the EP, such as Necro, Adam12, DJ EMZ, V.I.C., and the Alchemist. Despite all their efforts, few of the tracks on the EP come close to "MIA." There are, however, some good moments, most of which come from the interplay between MCs Al Tariq, Black Attack, and Problemz. Missin' Linx certainly show enough potential to have fans looking forward to the day when they release a full album, if they ever get around to it. ~ Jon Azpiri, Rovi
