I have written this book with you in mind either as a student or an employee trying to gain more knowledge or refresh your skills. I have made the explanations as clear as possible for the ease of learning statistics and Excel. Encouragement has been provided throughout and I believe anyone can use this book even if you don't have much knowledge in either statistics or Excel. I have only explained the most popular techniques to which are used in the working fields or school courses. Such techniques include basic statistics, e.g. averages, standard deviations; pivot tables, histograms and data retrieval. There are far more explanations and in-depth discussion of statistics and Excel but have been omitted for the shortness of this book, as well as promoting only the most common topics. I hope you gain a lot out of this book and stay motivated to learn more. As a student, I have looked for the right book to help me with subjects that I had a difficult time understanding. Sometimes the resources I had been looking through were not as clear in explanation, and examples lacked clarification or were not present. It is recommended that you read the book clearly and follow the instructions precisely and I don't have a doubt in mind that you cannot complete any of the exercises. I believe that anyone can learn anything as long as they put their mind and effort to it.
