Dubal provides lots of info about Horowitz, and that's enough reason to read the book. But Dubal is always trying to show us (and Horowitz) how smart he is, which has the effect of casting doubt on his portrayals. A better book is "Horowitz: His Life and Music" by Harold Schonberg.
