The issue closes with a compilation CD containing songs inspired by Slonimsky's hugely influential 1947 book Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns . Contributors to the CD include Andrew Bird, Lee Ranaldo, Elliott Sharp, Cat Martino and Horse Feathers.
