If you are at all interested in the work of the prodigious Ernst Fuchs this is definatly the book for you. Almost 300 pages of pure magic here. The first section of the book has Mr. Fuchs discussing his early work & motivations, & shows paintings & drawings he executed when he was just 15 years old. The next & thickest part of the book includes his paintings & highly rendered drawings from 1945-1977. One of my favorite aspects of this book are the brief captions Mr. Fuchs writes under each piece explaining the image. The reproductions are beautiful & the layout is excellent! Even the outside of the book is amazing, it has bright magenta boards with an elaborate design in gold on both sides. Don't miss out on this visual feast. He has been called the "Austrian Dali" & has influenced artists ranging from H.R. Giger, Alex Grey, Mark Ryden, Robert Venosa, etc... Buy it now before they all disappear.
