It will take many years to fully comprehend the extent of damage caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, but a singular truth became evident very early on: some groups of Americans, i.e. those who are BIPOC, poor, and otherwise disenfranchised, experienced disproportionate levels of harm and this pattern was replicated in our schools.
