Good. Good condition. A copy that has been read but remains intact. May contain markings such as bookplates, stamps, limited notes and highlighting, or a few light stains.
This is a lovely book! However, I don't think it will satisfy all sorts of quilters: the quilts are VERY elaborate, great to look at... but not many quilters will venture one of them. You should only buy this book with the intention of really making the quilts if you are willing to:
- piece zillions of very small pieces; - quilt a lot of intricate designs on setting blocks; - use a lot of templates and give a rest to your rotary cutter; (ok, in a very few cases instructions for rotary cutting are provided).
I was also a bit frustrated because I have two other books from the same editor, and this was enough for me to end up with a repetition of about five projects.
In spite of all this, I don't repent having purchased this book and I give it a grade 4 out of five: it IS a very inspirational book; the quits are lovely, and most were photographed in very carefully decorated sets - which were also good inspiration. It was also nice to read the paragraphs with information about the quilts' making or story.
I only suggest that you bear in mind that this is an old fashioned book of traditional quilts. Do not buy it if you are looking for fresh ideas for practical, quick quilts.
