Wonderful Encyclopaedia
This encyclopaedia is a must have for serious investigators and researches on compared religions and mythology. It's a comprehensive collection of studies written by a select list of investigators. Each of them has a point of view of his own, but many of the articles are remarkable. The object of study of this field is, in many cases, old and ancient sites, religions and cultural uses. Therefore, even when an update is required for the account of the twentieth century discoveries, this wonderful encyclopaedia remains a trustful source. It's been consulted by investigators such as Mircea Eliade and Jean Chevalier. I have read articles from more recent dictionaries of religions that aren't but the updated abstract of Hasting's article. I love my old, almost destroyed copies of this encyclopaedia, since it's the perfect start point to have a general view on any topic on religions or ethics of the world.
