Excellent book. Gives good insight to the ongoing debate as to whether Drake made landfall at Point Reyes (Drake's Bay) or San Francisco Bay.
What I really liked was Heizer's method of presenting the facts of the case and gleaning information from extant writings on Drake's voyage. It gave me insight to the field and ways of a ethno-historian.
I bought a second copy for my son-in-law.
