The Mexican 'corrido' is a folk genre which peaked with the Mexican Revolution in 1910. Some corridos were adopted as batallion anthems and many of them helped news of important ocurrences travel farther and faster. This volume collects more than 150 of them, from all regions of Mexico, the oldest dating from the last quarter of the nineteenth century and the more recent from 1950. They are ordered according to subject, with the first chords of some musical themes.
