Seller's Description:
Good- 12mo, 122pp., illustrated. Ex-library with the usual markings. In good condition at best, quite worn at the spine ends and the corners. Lacking the dust jacket. Despite these defects, a fantastic copy, bearing the ownership inscription of Edison's second wife (his wife at the time of publication), Mina M. Edison Hughes. The inscription is very faintly struck-through, but it remains very clean and clear. Thomas Edison died within a year of publication, and thus Mina would have inscribed it sometime after Edison's death, between 1935 and 1940 (after she married Edward E. Hughes in 1935, and before Hughes died in 1940. This is certain, as Mina re-took the surname Edison after Hughes's death. ) Though in somewhat regrettable condition, a nevertheless fantastic association copy of this uncommon volume.
