Near fine in poor jacket. Illustrated with 161 fine collotype plates, protected with lettered tissue guards. 2 volumes. Short folio, orange cloth with gilt-decorated spines, torn & tattered d.w. New York: Pegasus Press/ Harcourt Brace, (1929). The dust wrappers are quite worn and split at the seams, but books are near fine, with the ownership signature of art historian Meyer Schapiro in each volume. Printed in England for the Pegasus Press. Certainly appears to be a limited edition, although no specifics are provided by the publisher.
