Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930) war norwegischer Polarforscher, Zoologe und internationaler Staatsmann. Als norwegischer Botschafter in London setzte er sich f???r ein positives Verh???ltnis Norwegens mit den Gro???m???chten sowie f???r die V???lkerverst???ndigung und im Bereich der Fl???chtlingshilfe ein. F???r diese Leistung erhielt er 1922 den Friedensnobelpreis. Neben seinen politischen Verdiensten sind ihm aber auch unter anderem wichtige Erkenntnisse in der Polarforschung und die Ergr???ndung des Zentralnervensystems zu verdanken.
