Elisabeth Svendsen has the rare combination of a huge love and compassion for donkeys and the organizational ability to build and run an empire. What she has done for the betterment of donkey-kind in England and all over the world is absolutely incredible and her operations should serve as a model for all animal sanctuaries.
Her's has not been dull life and she tells her story with humor and eloquence.
Great lady -- great story -- great book.
