I could not put the book down. It was so full of adventure, heartfelt emotion, and fun that I had to read it.
Dove is the story a circumnavigation by a 16 year old boy on a little 23 foot sloop. It is an adventure that few human beings would even contemplate at that age.
It is filled with adventure, and an awe inspiring look at a young boy's look at the world. I can only imagine the emotions he felt when he and Patti fell in love in Fiji.
Robin and I share a love of sailing. I have sailed all over the world and enjoyed reading about his adventures in places I have been.
I personally know Robin and had dinner with him in Feb of 2011 in Kalispel Montana. It was a delightful evening and I am sorry but I think I may have asked him far too many questions. We discussed winds, currents, sailing tracks and all sorts of things about sailing especially in the Pacific Islands.
I still love sailing and have a little web site. It is topsailadventures. It is a dot com website. My little yacht the Village Maid will sail in some of the same waters as Dove sailed with Robin as her captain.
