Both Eddie (Brian Marc) and Miles (Craig DuPlessis) are in their twenties and anxious to make a fast back,so they take a job running drugs. One day their pusher sends them to New York to act as go-betweens for a deal with an untrustworthy contact. The deal goes awry, and Eddie and Miles end up penniless and stranded in the Big Apple. They find themselves hanging out with a group of street kids squatting in an abandoned, condemned tenement, and there their paths begin separating. Eddie ends up with a girl friend, Tara (Lisa Ristorucci), who gets him hooked on heroin, while Miles meets Rachel (Elizabeth Horsburgh), a pretty college student who gives him a place to styay and helps him find work at the café where she waits tables. As Eddie's life rapidly rushes towards tragedy, Miles' slowly improves.
