This book is beautifully illustrated and lovely to read. The way the text has been placed is interesting and the collage-style illustrations offers loads for kids to find and talk about. The kids that I read it to all loved the story and enjoyed the busy illustrations!

Quirky, clever and fun!
What a wonderful, quirky and clever read! My kids love this book for its original, busy illustrations and funny story! One of the few children's book that doesn't give all the answers, but leaves lots for the imagination and for discussing with kids. Definitely a must!

We love it!
I bought this book for my six year old and he absolutely loves it. In fact, we are reading it most nights now! There is a lot to look at and find in the busy illustrations and the text is witty and funny with lots of word play. My son loves the main character, an inquisitive boy called Alexander and his dog the Tinster. I can really recommend this book. We have had lots of fun reading it together.

A must read for little ones!
My kids absolutely loved this book! The busy, collage-style illustrations are a real treat and every time we read this book, we discover new things things to look at and laugh about! The story is clever, witty and packed with humour, colour and ample word play! My children loved the main character, an inquisitive boy called Alexander and were delighted to try and find Alexander's dog, the Tinster, on every page! I found "Do Grannies have green fingers"as it had been nominated as Children's Book of the Week by many publications and given great reviews! I could not agree more!
