Kept me reading, but not much more than decent
Not a horror. More of a mystery/suspense that leaves you a bit dissatisfied after a fairly repetitive, but well-paced amount of dialogue making up the meat of the book. I read a few reviews raving about how great of a twist was at the end, expected an amazing twist but what I got was an extremely vague, more sad than scary ending, with what was a very predictable explanation. Or what I thought was the explanation anyway.
The frustrating part was it was like the writer totally forgot about what was hinted at and the characters never again addressed it. Like the mom and daughter wanted to just forget about it. This was extreeeeeemely dissatisfying and felt like it totally lacked any real resolution.
