German description: Der museum kunst palast in Dusseldorf beherbergt etwa 500 koptische Textilien. Fur den Katalog wurden nun die 150 Stucke mit figurlichen Motiven bearbeitet. Anhand ihres ikonographischen Materials lasst sich an etlichen Beispielen der Ubergang von einer paganen zu einer christlich gepragten Thematik nachvollziehen. Um die Exponate in optisch ansprechender Form prasentieren zu konnen, ist dem Buch eine Bild-CD beigegeben worden. Auf ihr werden die Textilien z.T. mit bis zu einem halben Dutzend Detailaufnahmen dokumentiert.
