I come from a very long time ago and had completely forgotten aabout the delightful puzzling mysteries Edward Hoch wrote. They remind me of John Dickson Carr mysteries wherein it seems an impossibility for the crime to have been committed. Dr. Sam Hawthorne is a country docter up north in the 1930's era. He seems to be able to solve every puzzler thata comes along. I have read all that I can find so far and hopefully there are more.
