And yet so recently as four years ago the chairman of the Edinburgh Commission II - which more than any other one thing has made this Church the focal center of mission thought - ventured to say that even Christian missionaries, and still less those who look on from without, scarcely under stand that we are no longer to be the leaders but the allies Of the Church of Christ in the Mission Field.
