Other case studies chart the contribution of the Ancient Roman, Greek, Egyptian and Chinese and developments during the Middle Ages, the Black Death and the effects of industrialization and war on public health. The role of women in 20th-century medicine is also assessed. This pack contains a series of photocopiable investigations which can be used individually or as part of an activity-based programme of teaching. Lesson plans are provided in the teacher notes to show how the investigations can be differentiated and linked to provide a flexible approach which is adaptable to the needs of all pupils.
