As old and even obsolete as this book is (not to mention the interspersion of text from older and newer editions) this is a really handy book to have on the shelf when one wants to figure out what is destroying your plants. There are ample pictures and a lot of natural history which is sadly missing from field guides. A secondhand copy is inexpensive and will probably be referred to several times during the growing season.
