This book is the last of the Blue Hawk Saga. It is the closing of the Blue Hawk{Caleb Sax life. He has loved a woman all his years and how they live through many unkindnesses of the American early years of a great nation. It is a way of life that it not seen in history books or often talked about. Rosanne Bittner has taken the time and effort to research the time frame to make her leading men and women more believeable. The love story to which this book is telling is easy to believe. The author writes so you can see each person, even the not so nice ones. I am a new reader and I have become a great fan of Ms Bittner.I do hope you would read the other two books in this series. It will make for a great time in the early west.

Blue Hawk Saga
Inspirational! It is hard to believe that mankind is hurtful and down right mean to another human being just because he is different. This is not new. History is loaded with people hating one another and unjustly so. In the Blue Hawk Saga about Caleb Sax and his family, the most stricking injustice is to judge a child because of who his or her parents are or were. The child is an innocent victim of society when this judgement takes place. Caleb Sax, Tom Sax, Sarah Sax, Lynda Sax Purnell & James Sax struggles portray what one has been given in life and how one chooses to make something good and worthwhile instead of despair and bitterness.
Rosanne Bittner's writings have been life changing for me. I was born and raised in Wyoming and never once thought about the Native Americans that lived there before me. I apologize for my ignorance in past history and now have been inspired to try to make a difference in compassion where I might be able to care about a people that have suffered, and continue to suffer this very day. My heart has been touched in such a way as to hopefully make a difference in what I am directed to do.
