Paul Nagel does it once more, with an absolutely spellbinding account of the lives of the John Adams family. I found it hard to put down, he makes the people come alive, and you feel you share in their joys and sorrows. He presents them in total reality, warts and all. A masterful author, one of the best I have every read.
