The album title Delta Techno signals that Memphis-based singer and pianist Sandy Carroll is singing the blues against slightly unusual instrumentation. Carroll calls herself a blueswoman, and so she is, in the sense that Bonnie Raitt and Maria Muldaur are blueswomen.
