Coincidentally, the Duke (Bertram Grassby) actually comes into the cafe and, amused by the ruse, decides to pursue her. But Mary has gotten involved with Jimmie Calhoun (Rudolph Valentino, in an early, non-Latin role), who realizes she is really a nice girl. But that is thrown into doubt by the attitude of the Duke.
