Sim Ssi advanced into the room, and crouching down beside the boy, put her hand on his arm in a manner which she meant to be confidenceinspiring. "Say, boy," said she, "tell us what they are like." "Who?" asked Yung Kyoo, shortly. "You know. These foreign people that you work for." "Just like the rest of us." "Are they, now? Are they like the rest of us?" "Well, no," admitted Yung Kyoo, slowly; "they're not just like the rest of us.
