Had the chance meeting the author at a couple book signings, when the revised edition had came out. Very nice guy, we had spoke at length both signings. Though it took me a bit before I got reading the book. Once I started I could not stop reading book. Had read the original years ago at least maybe a couple of times. Been so many years did not seem to remember much. But as I would be reading the new one at times, it would feel like I had already read certain parts. So can not really compare books one being better then the other since the first one read was like in grade school. Though what I always could remember the most was the cover. Still to this day I think the original DOTV has one of the best book covers I have ever seen. Really only complaint I have for the second one is it not having the same, but at the same time due to copyright issues it could not be used again. Though both covers are almost the same.
I really enjoyed book one of the best I have read in awhile. At least could read and not keep putting down because I would get bored. The about only time I would put this book down pretty much was to eat or sleep. This will be one I will read again and again, along with the original when I can find a copy. As well as I want to read William Hill's other books.
