Ihre Wirkungsweise und die Art ihrer Verwendung bringt es mit sich, da??? beim Arbeiten damit gro???e Mengen von Staub entstehen, deren Einwirkung sich die Arbeiter ohne weiteres gar nicht entziehen k???n- nen. Der Staub besteht zum gro???en Teil aus feinsten Tr???mmern des Sandes, also aus reiner kristallinischer Kiesels???ure. Er geh???rt daher zu den gef???hrlichen Staubarten. Die schlimmen Wirkungen dieses Staubes werden durch die Abhandlung von Dr. med. Ern e s tin e M???ller, "Pneumoconiose bei Arbeitern eines Sandgebl???ses", Zentral- blatt f???r Gewerbehygiene 1928, S. 148, eindringlich vor die Augen gef???hrt. Die Gewerbeaufsichtsbeamten haben auch schon bald nach der Einf???hrung der Sandstrahlgebl???se die Gefahr erkannt, denen die Ar- beiter dabei ausgesetzt sind, und nachdr???cklich darauf hingewirkt, da??? der Staub beseitigt wird oder die Arbeiter in anderer Weise ge- sch???tzt w???rden.
