Good book, but the suspense could use some work.
This is supposed to be a romantic suspense, but from Chapter one it is fairly obvious who one of the murderers are. So there is a lack of suspense, but as the saying goes the devil is in the details and there's a twist at the end. This book includes the love story of a 27 year-old Morgan with Lane, the son of Monty, a former police officer who holds Morgan in a sort of paternal affection since she turned to him the night her parents died. The story is a mystery, trying to apprehend her parents' killer before he attacks her adopted family, the Shores and her. The characters range from a high level Senator to a part-time deli delivery boy, all of whom seem fairly real. The romance is a bit unbelievable in the speed at which it builds up, but entertaining nonetheless. A good, relaxing read (if you don't mind a little murder and mayhem).
