A new practical application of two water soluble polymers will be added to corrosion inhibition of metal structure. The inhibitive action of water soluble polymers against the corrosion of metal structure in hydrochloric acid pickling bath were investigated at industrial parameters by a series of known techniques such weight loss and electrochemical measurements. It was found that the studied polymer exhibit a very good performance as inhibitors for steel corrosion in acid pickling bath. Results show that the inhibition efficiency of water-soluble polymers increases with decreasing temperature and increasing concentration of inhibitor's. It has been determined that the adsorption for the studied inhibitors on metal structure complies with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm at all studied temperatures. The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for carbon steel corrosion and inhibitor's adsorption were determined and discussed.
