Nay the very word in question is in Pf. 104. 6. constructed in the fame manner: IsVDD (c)QD OTm, thou coveredst it with the deep, as with a garment. The other reading, however, ought to have been marked among my Var. Read. vol. i. p. 127. thus al.: The gulphy billows covered them. Ver. 8. By the breath of thy no/lrils, &c. "fDN rrm. Lit. in spiritu nast tut. But Sep. Itot nysvju-ros Tov Bv/mv m--Vulg. in spiritu furoris tui--and so equivalently almost all the antient versions; even Gr. And, indeed, if their copy was written in Sam. characters, of which I have no doubt, it was very easy for them to mistake a betb for a re/b, and read TO for DJ: but even this mistake is a proof that 111 or 1133 was then the genuine reading; a reading far more noble than Wh.
