In the space of eight months, from the beginning of April, (1755) I made myself complete master of the French and Latin languages With Which was very superficially acquainted before, and wrote and translated a great deal ia both; read Cicero's Epistles ad Fami liares, his Brutus, all his Orations Dialogues de Senect???te, and de Amica'te'a, Terence twice, and Pliny's Epistles.
