This ten-track volume in Sony BMG's Country series covers some of her RCA hits without being comprehensive. That said, there isn't anything here that doesn't belong. Whether it's anthems like the aforementioned cut, "Wild Angels," or "This One's for the Girls," ballads such as "Wrong Again," or honky tonkers like "A Broken Wing," McBride's delivery and gift for getting at the very heart of a lyric are singular. Combine those qualities with her range and power, and she's in a class by herself.
