I loved this book! I felt it was excellently written. I was hooked from the first page and never wanted to put the book down. The characters came alive to me and I could see their surroundings. There was lots of detail, but not too much. My favorite character was Kiya of course and then I had my least favorite also. The one you love to hate. I learned some of the Egyptian customs and thoughts on their gods. I never thought about how the Israelites must have felt and what their mindsets must have been, but Conni brought them to life. You could tell she did her research on the time and area. I would recommend this book to any of my friends who enjoy fiction literature. I will definitely read the next book in the series when it comes out! I have found a new author to add to my favorites list!!
