As a recent comer to the state of NJ, I have been amazed at how beautiful most of this state is and how little is known about it. So I bought Ms Seebohm's elegant book. Even as I flipped through it, I could see that both visually and intellectually, this book brings the charm and the history of this state into the present-day subject she is so passionate about. That's what's most amazing about this book: the text is every bit as compelling as the alluring photos! Ms Seebohm has researched the history and founding of every community she covers as well as a solid explanation of how the topography affected the history and architecture. This is more than a gorgeous photo book: it's a book you will actually want to read!
