Led by the first single and title track, this is a 15-track set of narcocorridos and conjuntos done in the band's classic style with rich instrumental interludes, poignant singing, and infectious rhythms. Standout tracks include "El Comandante Metro 3" (about the late Gulf Cartel drug lord Samuel Flores Borrego), the skittering accordion in "Barbarino," the popping bajo sexto and snare drum attack in "Agente de Gobierno," and the waltz "El Chiricuas," with its amazing accordion fills by its composer, Mario Quintero Lara. "Julián Pérez" documents the story from the 2011 film Solvando de Soldado Perez , while "El Shaka" is the narcocorrido theme from the popular Mexican television series of the same name.
