One of the top 5 books on Corregidor
Very well researched book by the Belote brothers.
Will give the reader a very good overview of the importance of Corregidor and the other island forts in American and Philippine history in the first half of the 20th century. Concentrating on the War years from 1941 to 1945.
The battle by the Americans and Filipinos to hold the island forts against the Japanese
invasion after Dec.8th 1941 to the surrender in early May 1942.
Also covered is the retaking of the island starting on February 16th 1945.
Some very good pictures, but few in number.
An excellent resource book.
