To the children at Sunrise Valley Elementary School, Pack 1313, and to all the children of the world, may this book find you and encourage you wherever you might be. Whatever your situation might be, in a war-torn country or in a peaceful place. I encourage you to be all that you can be, to be the best that you can be, and never give up. Set your eyes on the prize and run the race of life. I personally have found that building buildings is one of the best things I have ever done. Construction trades provide men and women with a good living. I am proud to say that I am a construction worker. So be all you can be--be a construction worker, be a superintendent, be a general contractor or architect or engineer. I am sure some of the young people in Pack 1313 are in a profession of construction or in a job related to it. From the man that loves children and walks on frozen water. --Superintendent Lawrence Williams
