A woman moves from her beloved Alaska to sunny California because of her husband's job (nothing I'd complain about), but she finds it a very big adjustment. Then her husband's character begins to change, he goes through unemployment and depression. She has to get a job outside the home and their marriage becomes even more strained. Welcome to real life. I don't understand why she seems to sit around and wait for him to get over it. I would talk to him, more. In spite of it all, they develop meaningful relationships with those around them, and her husband finally comes around and their marriage recovers. They even move back to Alaska.
