7th edition now taken over by DeRu's Fine Arts. Why not fix all the typo's in the text carried over from original 1941 edition? There is not much new in art books. Artists all borrow from each other. One can find the same principles expressed in other later texts. I do like the little thumbnails done in pen and ink which categorize compositions with names and the others which illustrate what is expressed in the text.

Great book
I love this book- wonderful content. Just packed with helpful information about composition. The only things that irks me are the millions of typos. Its like the book was published (multiple times) without ever going through an editor.
Other than that, it is one of my most treasured art books.
