Committed 2 Rock is a Time Life comp that courts both CCM and secular fans by featuring mostly mainstream modern rock that nevertheless grooves on a feel good message. It's heavy on groups that straddle the line between altar and alternative -- P.O.D. ("Alive"), Jars of Clay ("Flood"), dc Talk ("Supernatural") -- but also includes stuff from Dave Matthews Band and Foo Fighters. Things like "Praise You" from Fatboy Slim and Creed's interminable loud rock radio clunker "Higher" have been played out to the point of nausea. Still, they fit with Committed 2 Rock's overriding theme. In the end, it's a compilation with little filler and a lot of positive energy.
