Very basic, shoddy lay-out, inaccuracies abound
Mr Curtiss claims expertise in knife fighting/defense, military combatives history, and human anatomy as it relates to H2H combat.
Unfortunately, he does much in this overblown volume to show the knowledgable martial artist or special forces soldier that he's actually none of the above.
He bases his assessment of the USMC "K-Bar" fighting knife on his opinion of it being "too heavy", opines that the "kbar" was not designed as a fighting knife, then claims a tanto style blade has better penetrating ability than the "K-Bar"...and relegates Fairbairn and Sykes to the era of "trench warfare"..... all ranging from wrong to absurd.
He labels the humerus in the arm as the "humorous" , to cite another example of the author's shoddy workmanship.
If you are easily impressed by movie quotes, camo uniforms, and simply put together "self-defense" techniques (all basic army type) you'll like this book by Andrew "The Rabid Wolverine" Curtiss.
