Very Good in Very Good jacket. 4to. 224pp, index, bibliography, glossary, appendix, bw ills. Or green cloth in jacket. Very slight fading of spine. Some foxing to edges. Plots the course of European building in NZ from 1809 when Te Pahi's little frame house was set up at the Bay of Islands until the early 1880s when a slump brought building to a halt. When the slump ended it bacame increasingly difficult to distinguish between NZ building and their counterparts in other countries.
