In 1778, George Rogers Clark, at the age of twenty five, led a secret campaign into the Ohio Valley, which reduced the British posts between the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. This campaign had far reaching effects, extending the western most boundary ceded by the British in 1782 to the Mississippi, laying a clear path for future purchases to unite the east and west coasts. This journal details his campaign.

Seller's Description:
Good. 8vo. Cloth, no dj. Green cloth gilt-stamped on spine. 119 numbered pp. Portrait frontis. Spine toned, tail starting to fray. Small white scuff mark on front board. Previous owner's bookplate on front pastedown. Hinges cracking, exposing gauze, but binding is nevertheless holding. Significant scuffing to rear pastedown, presumably from removed bookplate. Previous owner's signature erased from Title Page; white out covering an additional inscription on Title and Contents, and has bled through to Publisher's Notice between them. Else fine. Despite its flaws, a sound, well-preserved copy overall. Good.
