For potters and archaeologists
This book is well written, really well photographed and much more scholarly than I expected. Illustrates living coiled and thrown, and coiled technologies from a variety of cultures world wide and then ties observed techniques and resultes to archaeological finds from the earliest found pots through the highlights of ancient pottery production. She shows how potters thousands of miles and years appart came up with similar techniques to produce very different wares and different rechniques to produce similar ware. A wonderful resource for the potter and a must see for the anthropologist or archaeologist.
